| ![]() Marcus Trescothick
Made over 400 Test runs in India and New Zealand over the winter, and has now forged a a powerful opening partnership with Michael Vaughan. The Somerset left-hander hit a brilliant century - the best of his three to date in Tests - in England's first win of the summer at Edgbaston. And he is now back to fitness after missing the first three Tests of the India series. A free-scoring batsman, Trescothick will not allow himself to be tied down for long and is especially severe on anything dropped short. Found himself given the additional responsibility of keeping wicket in one-day cricket in New Zealand. | Internet links: The BBC is not responsible for the content of external internet sites | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
