| ![]() Alex Tudor
A fast bowler of immense potential, Tudor has been in and around the England set-up for four years. He has been on three senior tours, and made his mark in his debut Test against Australia at the WACA when he dismissed both Waugh brothers. After spending the early part of 2001 with the A team in the West Indies, Tudor was recalled to face the Aussies again last year, returning figures of five for 44 at Trent Bridge. Against Sri Lanka at Old Trafford this year, he picked up the man of the match award with a four-wicket haul. A lack of consistency and a worrying tendency to pick up injuries are Tudor's biggest problems, but has been toughened up by a winter under Rod Marsh's tutelage with the Academy squad. Tudor is no mug with the bat and grabbed the headlines in 1999 with an innings of 99 not out, which carried England to victory over New Zealand at Edgbaston. | Internet links: The BBC is not responsible for the content of external internet sites | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
