It was Surrey's 10th win, but it was not the manner of it - nor the fact that skipper Adam Hollioake hit a double hundred - that will make rivals groan with despair. As if the wealth of talent at the club was not already known, they revealed yet another weapon with rookie paceman Tim Murtagh bagging a five-wicket haul. The 21-year-old, playing in his seventh first-class match, returned five for 39 as the visitors were bowled out for 142. They were set the impossible target of 626 to win in two sessions after Surrey earlier declared for 492, Hollioake hitting a career-high 208. Resuming play on 335 for four, Surrey pushed ahead to ensure Leicestershire could hope for a draw at best. Ali Brown, 89 not out overnight, soon reached triple figures for the fifth time this season but on 107 was caught behind by Neil Burns off the bowling of Darren Stevens. Ideal support In Ian Salisbury (36 off 87 balls), Hollioake was given ideal support as he launched a one-man assault on the visiting attack. Hollioake had faced 252 balls and battered 21 fours and three sixes when debutant Damian Brandy removed him to claim his first scalp at this level. Murtagh then clubbed a quickfire 22, and Hollioake called time when he fell to Javagal Srinath. Leicestershire were doomed when they slipped to 11 for four early on, Murtagh and debutant Philip Sampson taking two wickets apiece. Burns offered admirable resistance to hit a quickfire 68, but Surrey reasserted when Hollioake had him caught and bowled. Iain Sutcliffe and Darren Maddy were the only others to make double-figure scores, and Leicestershire's defence amounted to less than 39 overs as Murtagh and Salisbury finished off the tail.
