The Australian number one enjoyed her best season to date last year when she broke into the world's top 50. She also claimed a first WTA title and helped her country to the Hopman Cup final where they lost to the USA.
This year she has consolidated her ranking on the fringes of the top 30 but has not doubled her title wins.
She reached the third round at Wimbledon last year where after beating Dinara Safina and Elena Likhovtseva, she lost to Justine Henin-Hardenne.
If she harbours hopes of pushing further up the rankings she will need to string together a good run at Wimbledon again and a first seeding in a Grand Slam should help her progress.
This year she reached the fourth round at home in the Australian Open - her best Grand Slam performance.
Her build-up to the French Open was buoyed by a final appearance in Vienna, but at Roland Garros she came up against eventual champion Anastasia Myskina in the first round.
