Arguably the biggest serving, heaviest hitter among the crop of young Russian women, Nadia Petrova has edged closer and closer to the top 10 this year. She has been more consistent than ever in 2004, reaching one final, two semi-finals and one quarter-final.
That win, along with last year's semi-final appearance at Roland Garros, hints at her potential.
But she has recently been outshone by compatriots Anastasia Myskina and Elena Dementieva at this year's French Open.
Myskina beat Dementieva in the final at Roland Garros, while Petrova was dumped out of the tournament in the third round.
At Wimbledon her best performance was in 2001 when she reached the fourth round.
