In January, she made the quarter-finals of a Grand Slam for only the second time at the Australian Open, and made the final in Memphis a month later.

She has enjoyed herself on grass in the past - her best in Wimbledon singles being a place in the quarter-finals.

But she goes into the tournament on the back of some disappointing results since the hard-court events in April.

Although she has won four singles titles and has regularly been inside the world's top 20, Raymond has enjoyed her best moments on the doubles court.

She won the mixed doubles title at last year's French Open to claim her seventh Grand Slam doubles title and 42nd in all.

And at Wimbledon a year ago, she managed a place in the ladies' doubles semi-finals having been knocked out in the singles in the third round.
