Bjorkman returned to the world's top 30 with a surprise appearance in the quarter-finals of the Paris Masters at the end of last season. He consolidated his position by reaching the semi-finals of the Marseille event earlier this year.
The Swede wins most of his titles on the doubles tour with Todd Woodbridge - but is still dangerous in singles.
One of the best returners in the game, Bjorkman ran into form on grass last year reaching the Wimbledon last eight.
His record at Wimbledon is hugely fluctuating and his form is not looking great after a second-round exit at the French Open.
But last year the grass-court season kick-started his year and after reaching the semis-finals in Nottingham and the quarter-finals at Wimbledon he made a fourth-round appearance at the US Open.
This season, his only real performance of note saw him reach the last four of the International Series in Marseille.
