Tommy Robredo has established himself in the top 20 but is still waiting for his big breakthrough. The 22-year-old reached three ATP semi-finals and a final in 2003, but the highlight was an appearance in the French Open quarter-finals.
This season, he has steadily improved, reaching a semi-final in Chennai and a quarter-final at the Miami Masters.
But he failed to match his previous efforts at Roland Garros where he lost in the fourth round to Carlos Moya.
In April he attained perhaps the high point of his career so far when he won a title in his home town of Barcelona, outlasting Gaston Gaudio in five sets in the final.
The gifted Spaniard is happiest on clay and is yet to cause a major stir on grass.
His Wimbledon best to date is the third round, which he achieved last year.
