Robson (left) and Watson will now focus on Wimbledon

Heather Watson and Laura Robson have been knocked out of the women's doubles at the Aegon Classic in Birmingham.

Watson and Robson were knocked out in the first round by top seeds Lizel Huber and Bethany Mattek-Sands in straight sets, 6-4 6-4.

Robson and Watson will now turn their attention to Wimbledon, for which they both been given wildcard entries.

World number 346 Watson is preparing for her first appearance in the senior version of the Grand Slam event.

She recently became a full-time player after graduating from the Pendleton School in Florida.

Robson had been knocked out in the singles event in Edgbaston on Thursday, after losing her second-round match to third seed Yanina Wickmayer, 7-5 6-4.

Watson lost her opening round match to world number 86 Alla Kudryatseva on Monday.
