Watson is world number four in the junior rankings

Guernsey's Heather Watson has gone out at the quarter-final stage of tennis's 2009 Dunlop Orange Bowl in Florida.

The 17-year-old, who was seeded third in the competition, was beaten 6-2 6-3 by Croatia's Ajla Tomljanovic.

Tomljanovic, 16, is currently ranked six places behind Watson on the junior world rankings in tenth position.

Watson had beaten China's Saisai Zheng in the third round of the competition, which is the last 'Grade A' international junior event of the year.
