Curtis is ranked 369 in the world in women's singles

Cornwall's Jade Curtis is through to the second round of the Aegon Pro-Series in Barnstaple after a victory over Tara Moore.

Curtis, 19, had to fight back from a set down to overcome Moore, with the Cornish star winning 7-5 in the deciding tie-break.

Curtis said: "I just had to try and stay in there, make her work and stay tough mentally.

"I hardly made any errors, losing the first was down to her winner count."

Curtis will now play Lina Stanciute of Lithuania in the second round of the tournament.

Stanciute is currently ranked at 197 in the world women's singles.
