Guernsey's Heather Watson is through to the semi-finals of the AEGON Pro Series tournament in Frinton. Watson won her quarter-final against Nicola George 6-1 6-2 and will now face the second seed Anna Smith. Smith, 20, beat Watson at the same stage last week in the Felixstowe Pro Series tournament. In the doubles, Watson and partner Stephanie Cornish were defeated 6-2 6-3 by Briton Anna Fitzpatrick and Australian Emelyn Starr.
