Watson has had a successful career on the junior tour

Guernsey tennis star Heather Watson is into the second round of the AEGON Grass Court Pro Series tournament in Frinton.

The 17-year-old defeated seventh seed Alice Balducci, from Italy, in the first round 6-2 6-0.

Watson now plays Italian Giulia Gasparri on Wednesday.

The game will be Watson's 10th senior match this month as she strives for a senior ranking, which would help her to get better opportunities in future.
