Jersey are out of both the Men's and Women's tennis team event.

Jersey's female tennis players are out of the team competition at the Island Games in Aland after losing their semi-final match against Menorca.

Katie Gouyette lost 6-2, 6-2, whilst Rebecca Edwards was beaten, 6-0, 6-0.

Edwards admitted her opponent was much stronger than her and rues missed chances during the match.

She said: "I was in the game; I was in the games at least three quarters of them I had three opportunities where I should have got the games."

Edwards went on to say: "I had my opportunities, I just don't think it was my day today."

Jersey's Andy Evans has ruled himself out of the singles event due to injury.

Meanwhile, Jersey's Andy Evans has confirmed he's pulled out of the singles competition at the Island Games because of injury.

Andy Evans was ruled out of the team competition on the first day of the Games because of the same injury..

However, Evans told BBC Jersey he is going to take part in the mixed doubles with Kirsten McArthur.
