British number four Katie O'Brien has won the AEGON Pro-Series Open in Jersey, defeating French player Claire Feuerstein in the final.

O'Brien led Sunday's final 7-5, 1-0 when Feuerstein was forced to withdraw with a stomach injury.

"I've had a really good start to this year and this is something to build on," said O'Brien.

"The win might not bump my ranking up too much, but I'm getting ever closer to my goal of reaching the top 100."

O'Brien's next tournament is in Belgium, followed by the French Open and England's grass court season.
