Worcester Warriors will stay in the Guinness Premiership, according to director of rugby Mike Ruddock.

Warriors defeat against Leicester was tempered by the five teams above them also losing.

Ruddock told BBC Hereford and Worcester: "I can look you in the eye and say I have no doubt at all that we can stay up.

"I think that is why days like the Leicester game become doubly disappointing."

He added: "I know the effort the players are putting in and the coaches are putting in. I know how are hard everyone is working and the morale in the camp.

"We just have got to battle on, and battle through a tough time, and I believe we will stay up."

Worcester Warriors play Sale Sharks at Edgeley Park on Friday 2 April (1945 BST) and there will be full commentary on the game on BBC Hereford & Worcester on 104 FM and online.
