Four Worcester Warriors academy players have signed new deals with the Guinness Premiership club. Hooker Jordan Page, 22, scrum-half Jonny Arr, 20, and 23-year-old winger Charlie Fellows have all signed one-year extensions. Ireland under-21s prop Callum Black, 23, who has made 15 senior appearances, has penned a two-year deal to stay with the Warriors until 2011. All four have featured in the Warriors first team this season. Black, who was born in the USA, is coming to the end of his fourth season at Worcester. Warriors director of rugby Mike Ruddock said: "He is the modern prop in every sense and is very dedicated, skilful, mobile and professional." | Jordan Page and Charlie Fellows are fine young players who have both earned themselves one-year contracts as they continue to develop from academy stars into regular first-team players |
Scrum-half Arr made his first-team debut last December and has played for England Under-20s. "Jonny is a fine young player and, like I have mentioned before, he reminds me of a young Robert Jones," Ruddock added. "I believe it will not be too long before we see him more often in the first team." Fellows, like Arr, joined the club at mini and junior level and enjoyed his first full Guinness Premiership debut against Harlequins. Hooker Page has made two appearances for the senior team and came off the bench in the Quins game. Ruddock added: "Jordan Page and Charlie Fellows are fine young players who have both earned themselves one-year contracts as they continue to develop from academy stars into regular first-team players."
