Jim Mallinder has praised morale in the Saints camp |
Northampton boss Jim Mallinder has targeted another European Challenge Cup victory to give their Premiership campaign a timely boost. Saints entertain Bristol this Saturday, chasing a third straight win after crushing both Toulon and Montpellier. That success is in contrast with their patchy league form, which has seen them slip into the bottom three. "The Premiership is our main aim but the Bristol game gives us a chance to build some momentum," said Mallinder. "We won our first two pool matches in this competition and got the bonus points as well. "The mood in the camp is very good and very positive, and we're looking forward to making it three out of three." The Saints visit Bristol for the return fixture on 14 December before returning to Premiership action at home to Harlequins six days later.
