Northampton had to be content with a point after they failed to get the better of out-of-form Bristol Rovers.

Northampton were the better team in the first-half and Adebayo Akinfenwa hit the post with an early strike.

Rovers improved after the break and Rickie Lambert's drive was tipped over, while Lambert, Jo Kuffour and Craig Disley had shots cleared off the line.

But Leon Constantine should have won it for Northampton late on, heading wide with the goal at his mercy.
