Newcastle have made four changes from the side that beat Gloucester for their European Challenge Cup tie against Brive on Saturday (1940 GMT). Tom May has been named at fly-half, with Rory Clegg missing out due to a groin problem. Mark Sorenson returns to the second row in place of Geoff Parling, who is not registered for Europe. Brent Wilson replaces Ed Williamson at open-side flanker, while Steve Jones slots in at full-back. Director of rugby Steve Bates said: "Rory has been carrying a bit of a groin problem this week which has restricted his involvement in training. "With some important matches coming up over the next five or six weeks it was felt more prudent to let him recover fully rather than risk any further damage. "It means that Tom slots in at fly-half for this game but we're fairly comfortable with that because we know what he can bring us. "Last Sunday against Gloucester he showed that he can really attack the line and win collisions in that area, and we look forward to seeing him again in that role."
