London Irish's Rautenbach focuses on Premiership charge
Rautenbach joined Irish from Western Province in 2005
London Irish prop Faan Rautenbach says all his focus is on helping the Exiles in their Premiership campaign.
The prop signed a one-year extension to his contract with Irish last month to keep him with the club until 2012.
He told BBC Berkshire: "We can still achieve a lot - I'm putting my weight behind it to show I believe it.
"We are still in the hunt for the fourth spot in the league and we won't back down till the last game," Rautenbach added.
The prop also admitted that the temptation to return to his native South Africa was strong, but said his recent injury-free run had gone some way to persuade him to stay.
"I've surprised myself over the past couple of seasons, playing a lot of games, which has been quite enjoyable after having a bit of bad spell when I first arrived here.
"There are a lot of reasons to go back - the kids are growing up, the weather. But as I've said before, I didn't expect it when I first arrived here, but I've made a very nice family in London Irish itself.
"Then I'll go back to farming, to my bit of land back home with a few cattle running on it - I'm looking forward to life after this."
This weekend Irish travel to Bolton's Reebok Stadium to take on Sale in the Premiership and Rautenbach believes their recent good form is set to continue.
"I really think that over the last two games we've been doing well. The conditions have changed and the fields are getting a little bit harder and faster which is suiting us."
