Harlequins sign Maurie Fa'asavalu from St Helens

Fa'asavalu has never played rugby union in the English leagues before

Harlequins have completed the cross-code signing of St Helens back row Maurie Fa'asavalu.

The 30-year-old Samoan, who played for England and Great Britain in league, moves back to the 15-man code more than six years after his initial switch.

He joined Saints in 2004 after impressing in the 2003 rugby union World Cup and went on to make 163 appearances, scoring 39 tries.

Quins have also signed Leinster's David Moore and Newcastle's Peter Browne.
