St Helens must build on win, says hooker James Roby
Roby has been influential for both St Helens and England this season
Hooker James Roby says St Helens must build on their 32-18 win over Harlequins on Sunday.
Roby, 24, says Saints need to be at their best as the play-offs approach.
"We need to start picking up our performances as a team and to start building a bit of momentum now," Roby told BBC Radio Merseyside.
"We've got that win and it brings a little bit of confidence. Hopefully we can build on that because we're getting to the business end of the season now."
Although the England international was pleased to make amends for the 30-20 defeat by Catalans last week, he admits there is still a lot of hard work needed if Saints are to get into contention for silverware.
"We dropped a few balls and let a few balls go to ground coming out of our own half," Roby continued. "It's always hard early on in a game if you're not completing your sets, especially as we did today, knocking-on in our own half.
"I think they had four or five sets in the first 10 minutes or so and we were defending within our own 20 metres. It's always going to take it out of you.
"[We need to improve on] little things like that, not competing and giving silly penalties away. We know when we're not doing things right, it's nothing big, it's just little tweaks here and there and we shouldn't be too far off."
