James Simpson-Daniel signs new Gloucester contract
Simpson-Daniel has scored more than 100 tries for Gloucester in 10 years
Gloucester's in-form England winger James Simpson-Daniel has signed a new three-year deal tieing him to Kingsholm until the end of the 2013/14 season.
The 28-year-old has spent his entire career at Gloucester, having made his debut against Rotherham in 2001.
"I'm absolutely thrilled," Simpson-Daniel told BBC Gloucestershire. "Every time I'd think about leaving it would scare me. Almost like changing school.
"I hope core players signing might get those thinking about leaving to stay."
Simpson-Daniel is the latest to follow coach Bryan Redpath's lead by signing new deals, following the example of flanker Andy Hazell and lock forward Alex Brown.
"He's one of the most talented players that I've had the pleasure of working with," said Redpath.
"Sinbad is a huge part of what we are as a club and what we're hoping to achieve over the next few years."
The Stockton-born winger, who has scored more than 100 tries for the Cherry and Whites in 10 years, went to the same school, Sedbergh, as former England captain Will Carling.
Simpson-Daniel, who has scored three tries in 10 games for his country, plays for England Saxons this weekend against Italy A at Sixways.
