Gloucester have completed the first of the club's contract negotiations after Jonny May agreed a new two-year deal.

The 20-year-old three-quarter is one of a number of youngsters progressing under head coach Bryan Redpath.

"He [Redpath] wants me to be a part of the young backs coming through," May told BBC Radio Gloucestershire.

"People like me, Henry Trinder, Charlie Sharples, Dave Lewis and Freddie Burns are going to be the future of the back line and it's exciting for all of us."
