Gloucester youngster Jonny May says he is relishing the chance to go to Argentina with England for the Junior World Championship.

The 20-year-old centre has played for a host of teams this season including Moseley, Hartpury, Gloucester A, Gloucester and England under-20s.

"It's lots of lessons, lots of rugby and I'm really enjoying it," May told BBC Radio Gloucestershire.

"It should put me in good stead. I'll learn as much as I can."

The tournament takes place in June with England competing in the same pool as hosts Argentina, Ireland and France for a place in the semi-finals.

May is joined in the squad by Gloucester team-mates Freddie Burns and Shaun Knight, who will all hope that this tournament can boost their first-team chances next season.

He is trying to not to look too far ahead, saying: "I'm not even thinking about the future at the moment, all I'm thinking about is this world cup.

"I'm sure there will be rewards if you perform at this level because you get your name out there and I know I'm capable of it.

"It should be a good end of season and it should push me forward in good stead for next season as well."
