Jake Boer's return to Gloucester 'increasingly likely'

Jake Boer
Boer played for the Cherry and Whites for seven seasons

Former Gloucester captain Jake Boer believes his future lies in rugby, and potentially in England with Gloucester.

The 35-year-old flanker, thought to be considering a coaching/mentoring role, told BBC Gloucestershire: "It's looking more and more like I will be back.

"It's 'watch this space' in terms of what I will be doing, but if all goes well then I'll be back and hopefully part of a winning formula next season."

Boer played for the club from 2000 to 2007, rejoining them in October 2009.

His appearances last season were limited by calf, hamstring and eye injuries.
