Jake Boer hints at decision over his Gloucester future

Boer has made nearly 200 appearances for Gloucester

Former Gloucester captain Jake Boer believes his future at the club could be decided by the end of the month.

The 35-year-old returned to Kingsholm in October, but niggling injuries have restricted him to a handful of games.

He told BBC Radio Gloucestershire: "We're getting close to the end of the season so I'm hoping within the next week or so I'll have some answers.

"I've made it clear I'd like to stay. If there is something available I'll be here next year."

The South African skippered the Cherry and Whites for seven years up until his return home to Cape Town in 2007.

He rejoined on a short-term deal last autumn as cover for injuries but has since been plagued with problems to his calf, hamstring and eye.
