Gloucester have announced Leicester back row forward Brett Deacon as their first signing for next season.

The 27-year-old has signed a two-year deal and will arrive at Kingsholm after seeing out his time with the Tigers.

Gloucester head coach Bryan Redpath told the club's website: "We're pleased to have secured Brett's signature.

"He is English-qualified, has a lot of experience in a winning environment at Leicester and is ambitious to establish himself at a new club."

Deacon, whose brother Louis also plays for Leicester, has made 114 appearances for the Tigers since graduating from their academy and making his professional debut in 2003.

His signing follows Gloucester agreeing new contracts with 11 current players in the past month.
