Luke Narraway signs two-year extension at Gloucester

Narraway has seven England caps to his name

Gloucester number eight Luke Narraway has signed a two-year contract extension that will keep him at Kingsholm until 2012.

The 26-year-old England international joined the Cherry and Whites in 2003 and has made over 100 appearances.

"We're very pleased, as, on his day, he is one of the best number eights in the game," said coach Bryan Redpath.

Meanwhile, Fiji international winger Semi Tadulala, 31, has joined Gloucester until the end of the season.

Tadulala represented Fiji in the 2000 Rugby League World Cup before joining Australian side Melbourne Storm.

He has played rugby league in England for Wakefield and Bradford and has been training with Gloucester for the past few weeks.

"We're really pleased that Semi can now be properly registered with the RFU and is eligible for selection," said Redpath.

Narraway is the seventh Gloucester player to commit his future to the club in the last two weeks.

Prop Nick Wood, lock Will James and Fijian flanker Akapusi Qera have all signed new deals.

They have been joined by England under-20 internationals Charlie Sharples, Henry Trinder and Freddie Burns.

"The spirit in the squad is probably the best I've known since I've been at Gloucester, and the results over the last few weeks show that we're moving in the right direction," said Narraway.

"Gloucester is a special place to play rugby - the stadium, the supporters, training facilities and off-field set-up. It's the whole package."

Redpath added: "Luke's played all his rugby here and understands what it takes to be a Gloucester player.

"His challenge now is to continue to develop his game and deliver consistency so he can achieve his club and international ambitions, and we'll work hard to help him achieve this."
