Bath trio Barkley, Cuthbert and Haag agree new deals

Bath

Bath have extended the contracts of backs Olly Barkley and Jack Cuthbert and forwards coach Martin Haag.

Barkley, 29, and Cuthbert, 23, have agreed deals that keep them at The Rec until the end of the 2012/13 season.

Haag, who took up his role in 2009 after coaching with the England set-up, has signed a one-year extension and now stays on until the end of next season.

"We are happy that Olly and Jack are staying with us for a further two years," head coach Steve Meehan said.

"They have a lot to offer us in the coming seasons, and play an important part in the squad. They are good blokes to have around the place, both on and off the field.

"Olly is an established favourite at the Rec, and has been playing some great rugby for us over recent seasons.

"Likewise, Jack has been in great form, and we have seen him make a continued improvement as the season has gone on."

Cuthbert, who has represented Scotland A, has featured 53 times for Bath's first-team and can also play on the wing or in the centres.
