Ebbw Vale secured one of their most impressive results in recent memory by beating French club Pau at Rodney Parade.

Tries by John Evans and Kati Tuipolutu, and 19 points from the boot of scrum-half Bryan Shelbourne gave the Welsh club a comfortable victory.

The second leg will be played in Pau next Saturday.
