Tomaszczyk joined Worcester in the summer |
Worcester Warriors head coach Richard Hill has praised prop Oliver Tomaszczyk after he came off the bench to score a try in their 33-13 win over Plymouth. The 23-year-old, who has yet to start a game for the Warriors, went over to secure a bonus point for Hill's side, his first try for the club. "I was pleased he was the one who got the bonus point try for us," Hill told BBC Hereford and Worcester. "He came on certainly added physically and our scrummage improved." He added: "What we do need is players who are going to add that physicality and that urgency. "Nice rugby players are one thing but this is a physical combat game. We have to find the players who are going to give us that urgency." Hill says he is well aware they could have thrown the game away after a lack-lustre first-half display. "On 65 minutes, it looked as though Plymouth Albion could sneak the win, but in the last 15 minutes we turned things around and it was reasonably comfortable by the end," he added. "We set ourselves a target of getting a bonus point, so to not have scored any by half-time was poor. "We didn't keep the ball for four phases and that was one of the two things we talked about before the game. "The other was to have Premiership intensity. For the first 60 minutes, we did neither, but fortunately the replacements did bring a bit of that."
