Oliver Tomaszczyk set to make Worcester Warriors debut
Tomaszczyk arrived at Worcester in the summer
Front row Oliver Tomaszczyk is set to make his senior debut for Worcester Warriors against Cornish Pirates in Friday's Championship clash.
The 23-year-old will start on the bench alongside fellow 'A' team member Ollie Frost, as Welsh scrum-half Andy Williams is rested.
Coach Richard Hill told BBC Hereford & Worcester: "I've seen both players play some superb rugby for the 'A' team.
"On the back of those performances, they deserve a go."
Tomaszczyk joined Worcester from Oxford University on a two-year deal in June and Hill believes he is ready to follow Frost and make the step-up to the Championship.
"Oliver has already become something of a crowd favourite after two games at Sixways.
"Those who haven't been down to see him in the 'A' games will be very interested to see what he can do.
"He has been a one-man destroying machine. God forbid if you get in his way, you get smashed whether you are one of the opposition or one of his own players.
"We're looking to introduce him in the second-half and see if he can destroy a few Pirates."
Although Worcester are unbeaten in the league, Hill insists he will not underestimate fourth-placed Pirates.
"I am impressed by the Pirates, they are near the top of the table, they play some excellent rugby, and have done well against teams that have held off them," added Hill.
"Our press defence was excellent against Bedford and if we put them under pressure as a back line, then we can stop them playing.
"They will run from their own 22, they will run from everywhere and you have to expect the unexpected from them.
"As far as we are concerned we went to Bedford to play a very tight game, but on Friday night we will expect to play more through the backs and get our back three running through the spaces."
There will be full commentary of Worcester Warriors v Cornish Pirates on Friday, 22 October (2000 BST) on BBC Hereford and Worcester on 104 FM and online
