Blue Square Bet North side Redditch United have signed Hereford striker Sam Malsom on a month's loan deal.

The 22-year-old has made four appearances for the Bulls this term including three as a substitute.

"I think it's one of those deals where it is good for him and it is for us," Redditch manager Matt Gardiner told BBC Hereford and Worcester.

"He needs some games so he can enjoy his football - hopefully he can come in and score some goals for us."

The former Torquay forward, who has previously played in the Faroe Islands, arrived at Edgar Street in July on a one-year deal.

He is set to make his Redditch debut in Saturday's FA Cup fourth qualifying round tie with Guiseley.
