Leeds' Fourie to face Exiles test

Leeds Carnegie have made 11 changes for Sunday's National League One match with London Welsh at Headingley.

Only Richard Welding keeps his place in the backs as Tom Biggs, Scott Barrow Jonny Hepworth and Leigh Hinton all return to the side.

In the forwards, Hendre Fourie comes back after a hand injury, while Mike MacDonald, Ron Rawlinson, Phil Murphy, Jon Pendlebury and Rhys Oakley play.

Scott Mathie is replaced at scrum-half by Joe Bedford.

Forwards Juan Gomez and Vili Ma'asi have been named on the bench.

The pair are being reintroduced slowly into first-team action after long-term injuries.

Meanwhile, Leeds' England sevens star Rob Vickerman believes the league leaders are now playing to prove they are good enough to play in the Premiership, should they go on and win promotion.

Vickerman told BBC Radio Leeds: "You only have to ask the players here where they want to be and the answer is the Premiership.

"We are not promoted yet, but you can't go through National League One without thinking of the Premiership, otherwise you have to question why you are playing rugby at all.

"We've all experienced Premiership rugby before and we are all desperate to be playing in it again, so we all have to prove we are good enough to do that."

BBC Radio Leeds has exclusive full match commentary of Leeds Carnegie v London Welsh on 774 AM, DAB and online at bbc.co.uk/leeds from 1450 GMT on Sunday.
