Southend Rugby Club suffered their second heavy defeat in as many weeks, losing 48-6 away to Cinderford. The Gloucestershire side ran in seven tries, whilst Southend's only reply came from the boot of Sid Hoult who kicked two penalties. Cinderford were 19-3 up at half time thanks to tries from Paul Knight, Andy McRae and Phil Kennedy. They added to their total through two Rob James scores, plus one apiece from Jed Hopper and Charles Simpson-Daniel. The Seasiders remain 12th in National League One, but have now conceded 15 tries in their last two games. They will look to reverse that when they meet Waterloo on Saturday.
