Cornish Pirates threw away a 12-point lead to lose out against Esher - their third successive defeat. The visitors went ahead through Rob Cook's penalty try and Tyrone Holmes went over to give them a 12-0 lead. Sam Ulph's penalty got Esher on the board just before half-time and Richard Mayhew's try closed the gap to four. Gavin Cattle scored the crucial winning try for Esher, while Pirates' Jonny Bentley missed a drop goal attempt nine minutes into injury time.
