Irishman Steve O'Brien grabbed two tries for the islanders |
Steve O'Brien and former Sale full-back David Doherty both scored two first-half tries to help Jersey to a 24-7 win at Lydney. The bonus-point victory keeps the islanders in second place in National Two South and still in with a chance of a third successive promotion. The only points from the hosts came when the referee awarded a penalty try. Jersey have now won five consecutive matches and are unbeaten in 2011, while the loss was Lydney's first this year.
