Rugby Union

Vagabonds were hammered 49-13 at high-flying Widnes in South Lancs/Cheshire Division One on Saturday.

In Division Two, an under-strength Ramsey returned to winning ways, with a 20-13 victory over rock bottom Holmes Chapel at Mooragh Park.

Meanwhile, Douglas were beaten 14-30 at home to Marple in the other Division Two game.

Elsewhere, Southern Nomads kept their Shimmin Wilson Manx Shield hopes alive with a 19-6 win over Vagabonds B.
