Roberts also plays at full-back for the Cornish club
Launceston player-coach Mal Roberts says time is running out for his side in their battle against relegation.
The Cornish club, who are away at Tynedale on Saturday, remain rooted to the bottom of the National One table, 12 points adrift of safety.
Roberts told BBC Cornwall: "We need to start producing the goods and getting results, or we're going to be condemned to National Two next year.
"Relegation is definitely something that everyone at Polson doesn't want."
Launceston started the new year with an impressive 25-15 victory over fellow strugglers Otley at Polson Bridge last weekend.
Roberts continued: "We've done some good stuff up until now, but we've also done some average stuff as well, so there's certain things from 2010 that we want to put a line under and move forward.
"Tynedale are a good side and they're very difficult to beat at home.
"Looking at the stats, we've never won at Tynedale so there's a hurdle psychologically that we need to get over straight away.
"But we set ourselves some targets for this month for a certain amount of points that we need for survival and we're well on track at the minute.
"A part of that is going up to Tynedale and getting a result this weekend."
In the season's first meeting between the two sides last September, Launceston fought back from a 17-7 half-time deficit to secure a 24-24 draw at Polson Bridge.
