Esher have signed Cornish Pirates lock Ian Nimmo on a loan deal to help relieve their injury crisis.

Esher locks Rob Anderson and James Inglis are both sidelined at present, leaving a shortage in the second-row.

Nimmo, 25, joined the Cornish Pirates from Championship side Nottingham at the end of last season.

The loan deal to bring Nimmo to Molesey Road will only last for a month, with the lock expected to return to Cornwall by February.

Esher are currently in the relegation play-off places in the Championship, having won only four games all season.

In their latest outing, the Surrey club lost 16-12 away at Plymouth Albion.
