Plymouth Albion continued their winning start to the year as they edged Esher in a tight encounter at Brickfields. The two sides traded penalties in a tense first-half, Alex Davies kicking Albion's, while Sam Ulph was on target for Esher to put the score at 6-6. Esher kicked on after the break to go 12-6 ahead, before Davies struck a third penalty to reduce the deficit. Albion kept pressing and were rewarded with a late try from George Porter to secure their third consecutive win. The result sees Graham Dawe's side move into the promotion play-off places in the Championship, moving above Bristol into eight place. Esher remain 10th in the standings, having won just four of their 17 games this season.
