Johnny Bentley punctured the Bedford defence to claim the second try |
Cornish Pirates started 2011 with a fine performance against Championship high-flyers the Bedford Blues. The club's biggest home crowd of the season watched the Pirates take an early lead through wing Wes Davies. Rob Cook and James Pritchard then traded penalties, before Johnny Bentley pushed over the line for the Pirates. The second period continued with Pritchard and Cook exchanging points, but the visitors were unable to claw back the try deficit.
