Stourbridge Saxons will have to revamp their pack for the weekend trip to Sedgley Park in National One.

Last Saturday's 33-8 defeat at home to unbeaten leaders Barking also cost the Saxons the services of skipper Ben Hughes and prop forward Will Davis.

"Will could be out for four or five weeks, they'll both be a big loss for us at Sedgley Park," said director of rugby Neil Mitchell.

The Saxons other injured forward Adam Sturdy is a few weeks from fitness.

The Barking loss ended a run of four straight wins for Stourbridge that had propelled them into the top half of the table.

We wanted to measure ourselves against the league leaders and we've done that

"We have come across a lot of teams that have tired near the end," noted Mitchell, "but the sheer physicality of the Barking side took them through.

"There was a great fight-back from us at the end showing true spirit, but they were a stone-a-man heavier and the physics don't work."
