Schoolteacher Richardson missed the Saxons pre-season campaign

Scrum-half Tommy Richardson will make his first start of the season for Stourbridge Saxons when they visit Rosslyn Park in National League One.

He steps in because of an injury to Louis Silver and Ollie Frost's call-up to the Worcester Warriors first team.

"There is no doubting Tom's ability, his place in the England Counties side is testament to that," said Saxons director of rugby Neil Mitchell.

"He has looked strong each time he has come off the bench."

Teaching commitments meant Richardson missed a significant part of Stourbridge's pre-season preparations, leaving him behind Silver and Frost for a first XV place.

But he impressed as a substitute during last weekend's 17-9 defeat at home to London Scottish.
