Sanderson was among the Worcester tries at Clifton Lane
Worcester Warriors ran in four tries against Rotherham in a comfortable 32-3 bonus-point win at Clifton Lane.
Wing Miles Benjamin crossed for two of the Warriors tries as the Titans slipped to their first home defeat of the Championship season.
Fly-half Andy Goode landed two early penalties to settle any nerves and then converted Benjamin's opening try.
Rotherham briefly threatened a recovery when Juan Pablo Socino kicked a penalty to reduce the deficit to 13-3.
Worcester dominated the set plays as former skipper Pat Sanderson crossed for the second try as he was last man up following a catch and drive that stemmed from Goode's kick to the corner.
With a healthy 18-3 interval lead Worcester knew one more try would kill off any hopes of a Rotherham revival.
But the home side kept its shape and discipline well as they defended doggedly until the heavy Worcester pressure told following a series of scrums.
Willie Walker supplied the telling pass that allowed Marcel Garvey to go around the final Titans defender and in for his 10th try of the season.
Goode added the extra two points as Worcester opened out a 25-3 lead while Garvey was then to turn supplier as his kick ahead allowed Benjamin in for his second try.
Again Goode was on hand to add the conversion as Worcester rounded off the scoring with the bonus-point try.
The only black spot in an otherwise excellent showing was a yellow card for young scrum-half Ollie Frost within three minutes of his arriving as a replacement for Andy Williams.
Worcester head coach Richard Hill told BBC Hereford and Worcester: "For me the senior pros really stood up today - you can talk about Chris Fortey, Adam Black, Greg Rawlinson, Pat Sanderson and Kai Horstmann.
"They really came out today and that what is we have been waiting for.
"We have been waiting for those key men to really put the performances in and they did that."
