Jersey slipped to fourth in National Two South as they were unwrapped by an impressive Taunton side. Taunton raced into a 22-7 lead at half-time, thanks to tries from Christian Gervais, Jason Luff and Jon Gatford. Jersey fought back to 22-19 with tries from Andrew Henderson [2] and Nick Trower, before Taunton pushed on again. Charles Walker-Blair added a fourth Taunton try, before Jersey were awarded a late penalty try which ensured they came away with a losing bonus point. The result was revenge for Taunton for last May's National Three Cup semi-final defeat by Jersey, which prevented the Somerset club from appearing at Twickenham. Fourth-placed Jersey are now on 34 league points from nine games, while Taunton are just one point and one place, below them in fifth.
