 Jersey narrowly beat Lydney to stay top |
Jersey stayed top of National League Two South after narrowly beating Lydney 32-25 in St Peter at the weekend. Despite being outscored on tries, full-back Michael Le Bourgoise ensured the islanders extended their winning run to six games by kicking 22 points. Lydney scored three tries through Chris Holder, Craig Jones and Nicholas Stoneman, while Steve O'Brien and Brian Rennison both went over for Jersey. Le Bourgoise kicked six penalties and two conversions to secure the win.
