Guernsey climbed to the summit of London Two South West with Saturday's 44-28 victory over Effingham and Leatherhead.

Despite conceding four tries Guernsey scored heavily to secure the win and move above Guildford on points difference, with Tottonians in third.

Captain Blair Campbell said: "It's good, if we work hard I think we should be able to stay there.

"We seem to be improving every week and hopefully we can keep it up."
